How long do artificial nails last??
Artificial nail extensions last from 2 weeks to 1.5 months. It all depends on the individual characteristics of the nail, its growth rate, and its condition.Damaged, brittle, and bitten nails require more care and more frequent treatments.
One thing is certain: you can't fool nature—the nail grows back, and you have to keep it trimmed regularly. The situation is similar to dyeing your hair, with the difference that you can get away with a few centimeters of regrowth, whereas a nail that hasn't been filed for a few weeks simply...will be eliminated.
To make your nails last longer, you can try this little trick. When you notice that the gap between the artificial nail and the natural nail bed forms a distinct step, you can smooth it out using a nail file and a polisher .Carefully file down the gel (being careful not to file the natural nail) to create a smooth transition from the indentation. After filing, it is recommended to paint your nails with nail polish containing hardening agents and to cover the regrowth with any type of nail polish (milky, glitter, etc.).).We mainly use this technique with acrylic nails, because with gel it would result in the top coat being filed away, which in turn would make the nail look dull.
