Why Do Artificial Nails Sometimes Turn Yellow??

Yellowing of the nails depends on many factors. This happens most often with acrylic nails, when using a tanning bed, applying self-tanner or tanning lotion, or simply peeling an orange or other citrus fruits. If that has already happened, we can fix it by: removing the polish (even if it was just clear polish) from your nails, lightly filing them (with a medium-grit nail file), and then simply applying a new coat of polish. This will refresh the look and appearance of your nails.

The products I use contain a UV filter (known as an absorber), which prevents my nails from yellowing when exposed to sunlight.
These include, among others: UV Coat , Sunscreen Sealer , Profi Sun Seal gel , and Royal Gel Mirror Finish.
