The word "wellness" comes from English and is a combination of two words: "well" and "fitness" (physical condition, fitness).Although there is no exact equivalent in Polish, the closest translation would be "well-being" or "health and well-being." The term "wellness" was first used in the 1950s.in the 20th century by the American physician Halbert L..Dunn, who promoted the concept of a holistic approach to health.
